Ellerslie Cottage is located on a former sheep farm in Glenhope, approximately 15 minutes from Kyneton or 30 minutes from Castlemaine by car.
Ellerslie Cottage is a one-bedroom stone cottage in an idyllic location by Pipers Creek, Barfold. The cottage is situated by Pipers Creek and, while only just over an hour from Melbourne, feels like a world away.
This charming stone cottage is complete with an open fire, Bedouin Societe Linen, Pendleton Blankets, Aspar Body products and a breakfast hamper of locally sourced produce.
Please note: there is another house on the property but not in close proximity. There is a day bed available for children, although we do require guests to bring their own sheets for this. Dogs are welcome by arrangement. Please call ahead to check fencing and other requirements
Glenhope is part of Mount Alexander Shire and the Dja Dja Wurrung are the traditional owners of the region. We respect and acknowledge the vital role of the local Djaara people as the custodians of the region where Ellerslie Cottage is located.

“This beautiful stone cottage is as stunning as it looks in the photos. The property is fabulous for little dogs to explore and play. Beautiful and thoughtfully chosen vintage furniture and delicious local produce. Every morning we had breakfast in the sun surrounded by native birds. We were there in early May and were very snug and warm. It is a fabulous combination of flawless aesthetics and sumptuous creature comforts. The perfect rejuvenating getaway!”

“Beautiful tranquil cottage set on a lovely property. So many lovely touches. Great location, short drive to Kyneton. We absolutely loved the indoor fireplace and the fire pit outside. We were able to cook and relax and just surround ourselves with nature. Highly recommend this place!”

“Lovely quiet and secluded spot, perfect for down time and relaxing. We were lucky to stay in peak daffodil season too, very romantic and beautiful grounds! Thanks for a lovely stay.”
