The Goldfields Track Walk Series - Part Four (14.7km)

Walk - Mt Franklin ( Porcupine Ridge Road to Hepburn Springs Reserve)

Length - 14.7km

Time to complete: 3.5hrs

For this section of the tour we were lucky enough to be joined by Mark, from Hanging Rock Llama Treks and his three Llamas - Apache, Pachi and Jango. Llamas can carry up to 30kgs so made great picnic companions! We walked about a third of the way to Hepburn Springs Reserve and came back due to car shuffle and timing logistics. Pretty walk through box Eucalyptus dry forest and past a waterfall. Then on through farmland with great views of Mount Franklin (see pictured). Thanks to Mark and the llamas for bringing the picnic! Unfortunately we just missed out on passing the Chocolate Mill which is on route. To complete the entire walk with Llamas at a pace of 3 kms per hour it would take the whole day.
