Silver Brumby Horse Trails offer rides nearby if you are inclined otherwise it is a short drive for a wine tasting at Zig Zag Winery or Passing Clouds. "From the minute we walked into the Woolshed House we felt its warmth and immediately felt at home. We excitedly searched for where we would sleep as we admired the hotel-quality rooms and divine furnishings and decor around the home. We took in the autumn views from each window and nestled into the lounge room for a game of Monopoly. After preparing a porterhouse steak dinner cooked on the great Webber on the property, we enjoyed a soothing bath. In the morning we felt refreshed, ready for a day of exploring. We visited Trentham, a delightful town full of character. We visited it during the week and had the pleasure of enjoying it as a local. Great coffee, local wine and beautiful autumn leaves decorating the streets. We then visited Trentham Falls, again taking in the autumn colours that sound like a grand gully. The rest of the afternoon we relaxed by the fire in the lounge as the rain set in. We cooked a roast chicken in the kitchen with some local potatoes we purchased just down the road. Our following morning was magically surrounded by fog, giving our children a mystical start to their day. As a young family, we tend to have the best experiences when the home we are staying in has touches of ‘family.’ With plenty of children’s books, games and space for free play meant we didn’t feel like our children were imposing on a beautiful home. We felt as parents we were able to relax and enjoy our downtime. We could have easily stayed a week and still would want to stay another week. It was cosy, yet spacious, well equipped with everything we could have possibly needed for how we live to live. Thank you to the property owners for sharing such a beautiful home where we were able to create memories that will last forever. ", Jo, April 2025
